The Banana Grove Club
The Banana Grove, owned by rival club-owner Den Perry, was the only known rival club of the Phoenix Club, situated in Bolton.
Rivalry with the Phoenix Club[]
The Banana Grove's owner, Den Perry, used to regularly compete with Potter and other club owners for local events and was determined to make his club the best in Bolton. However, Perry was regularly outwitted by Potter as he used underhand tactics.
Business at the Banana Grove thrived after Den Perry committed arson upon the Phoenix Club. However, the restoration and success of the Phoenix Club led to the Banana Grove's business plummeting - with at least two nights where no-one turned up at all.
Whether or not the club closed after Den Perry was found out and arrested is unknown.
